Deciding to get a car in Germany when the public transport system is so good was, well, easy. I tried, I really did to get into the whole let's bike around with my kid in a bike trailer. Cons:
There will be some wear and tear on your car at the end of a year so keep some dollar bucks aside to cover this cost.
App and assistance are in German, but as it's often over email you can use Google Translate.
